Ever watch the movie "The Sandlot"? Great movie. In it, there's a 'new kid in town' who struggles to bond with other boys by learning to play baseball. My intelligent, kind-hearted, willing-yet-sometimes-lazy oldest child seems to have much in common with the main character from "Sandlot" -- baseball has been a huge learning curve for him. My hope is that by sticking it out and continuing to try, he'll at least develop an appreciation for the game. It's not coming easily to him at all (compared to his younger brother) but we are so proud of him for trying!!
