Moving...

 We say 'goodbye' to our home tomorrow morning.

It seems incredibly final, to close the chapter on a house that has been our home for just shy of 10 years. We built the home -- watched as the foundation was poured, scratched our initials and Joshua 24:15 in the damp cement on the floor of what was to be the breakfast room, watched as the walls were formed and bricks were laid, watched as the promise of dreams fulfilled came to be. 

Now, we watch as it transfers to a new owner. Now, we pray that the red brick one-story that saw us struggle to become parents for several years and then welcome not one or two but three baby boys, the red brick one-story that saw the end of my teaching career and the birth of my motherhood and photography career, the red brick one-story that has seen, heard, felt, and could tell so much... we pray that it becomes a blessing for the new owner as it has blessed us. Rather, we pray that God would use it to be a blessing as He's used it to bless us.

 And so we're moving. Temporarily, we've moved into my parents home. It's been an adjustment so far -- the boys are realizing it's not a vacation now, and we're dealing with some emotional issues there. They are all sharing one bedroom which has made bedtime a bit interesting, but overall they're doing well. Ryan and I are trying to figure out how to not be a burden on my parents, but how to help and 'do our part' around here. In the end, I think and hope these next four months will be a great time of bonding and growing closer for our little family.

In four months, we hope to move in to our new home that is currently being built. We are staying in the area, and this new home is one we envision being in many, many, many years from now. Our boys will even go to high school where Ryan and I (and Ryan's parents) graduated. Like I said to Kelli one night, it's one we hope to live in while welcoming grandchildren. Isn't that a thought. We are excited to see the new memories made and dream big dreams in this new house!
