Caleb's Debut Performance...

Caleb's preschool had their Christmas Program last night, and Caleb was a camel. It was hilarious - his class, the "Seals" (3-year-olds), were the stable animals in the nativity. They sang "The Animals Sing for Jesus," complete with the animal noises shouted out, and "Go Tell It On the Mountain."
We were quite nervous as to how Caleb would do with this performance... Last Thursday was the dress rehearsal, and I had to escort a screaming and kicking little boy out of the church because he flat out REFUSED to take part in the rehearsal. This, coming from the little boy that his teachers just fawn over because he's "Soooo Good! So Sweet! Such a Big Helper!"
Yeah. Not that day. Seriously, a low point on this parenting journey. All of the other kids and their mamas were watching the spectacle that was my child that day! I can only hope that the thought in the minds of the mamas was along the lines of "Wow, glad it's not my kid today...been there, done that" instead of "Good grief, can't that mom control her child? I hope he doesn't rub off on my kid."
Thankfully, even after a few tears when he was dropped off with his class before the performance last night, Caleb transformed into the star that he is and did fabulously well. He knew all the words, and was VERY loud! As long as he was with his friends Michael (on C's right) and Hunter (on his left), all was well.
