After bringing the boys home Saturday evening, Caleb went into his room and just stopped.
"OH MY GOSHES!" was all he could say - several times over - complete with his hands up to the side of his face!
Too bad I didn't have the camera on me at that moment! But, here are a few of the 'moments' shortly afterward...

He's done a great job with his new bed. Nighttimes are going amazingly well - he gets so excited to go to bed and be tucked in for the night. He's always done well at night, so it was such a relief that this major change in sleeping arrangements didn't mess that up!Naptime has been a different story, though. He's discovered that he can get out of bed and come on out of his room when he wants...at which point he gets marched right back to bed! Yesterday, he did decide to just play quietly in his room for a long while instead of napping - I guess that counts for down time as well! Today he did go to sleep for a while, so it can be done!
The quilt on his bed right now was Ryan's quilt while growing up. I am in the process of cutting out material to make a quilt for Caleb. Hopefully we can continue the (antique) baseball theme that is slowly taking shape! Good thing he likes baseball!
And if you're wondering why his bed looks to have a 'dip' in the middle (see the first picture)... we bought two floatie 'noodles' to use as bumpers on the sides of his bed to hopefully keep him from falling out. So far it's worked like a charm, and at $3.89 each they certainly beat buying bed rails!

I love family quilts! We have several around here that we use, too. That's cool that Caleb is able to use Ryan's old quilt.
And Caleb's reaction to the new room was very cute.
Oh my, we need more bricks! He has grown so fast. Can hardly wait to see him climb in.
